Thanks for visiting my page. I'm glad you stopped by! I am a therapist dedicated to building relationships in order to help you and/or your child(ren) reach their dreams and goals. I believe that change happens with open, honest communication. But more importantly, that change happens when one feels cared about and safe.
As you look through this website, you will see that I am a believer in Play Therapy. You might be wondering, "What is Play Therapy?" Play is a natural world for children. You don't have to teach children how to play. In fact, it is a child's natural (developmental) way to communicate. Even nonverbal children are able to communicate through play. I also believe that play works with adolescents. Though we may not play in the same way we would if the teenager was 3 years old, art work and being creative helps build a relationship as well as ease the teen into talking more comfortably. More importantly, I believe that it is important for adults to support children and teens by playing. Therefore, I will oftentimes facilitate play between parent and child.
